The British take Manhattan from the east - Kips Bay and Murray Hill, while the revolutionaries move up to Harlem Heights.
Legend has it that Mrs. Murray (of Murray Hill) entertained the British officers as they passed through serving them a long leisurely lunch while Washington and his troops escaped uptown.
