Santa Claus the NYC Tour - the true story of an immigrant who made it here and changed the world!
See where Santa and his reindeer were first seen, where his toy factories started, and where famous writers and illustrators make Santa come alive. Enjoy readings and poetry, all in character.
You will be surprised about Santa's 3Ps: Patriotism, Peace, & Prosperity. This 'magical history' tour is factual, and it can be appropriate if Little Santa Believers are along that will not ruin their beliefs and holiday hopes. (Puppets, music, and props are not included, so bring your own!)
The standard tour involves walking, stairs, and three subway rides. The longest walk is ¾ of a mile. There will be opportunities to rest and refresh. We move at your pace and can arrange a vehicle.
'Jared loves New York City – its neighborhoods, its history, its pre-eminence in the grand scheme of things, even its quirkiness. . . I looked at Santa Claus … differently, too. Who knew the old guy could be so political? Or that he had a naughty side as well as nice? Who knew he has ties to Wall Street? I highly recommend the tour' -- Elaine Lidholm, Richmond, Va., November 2012
"His eyes flash as he waxes rhapsodic about the city's past"… this experience is a "tour de force on Gotham's streets." -- The Jewish Daily Forward, 2010
